When we begin to bottle up thoughts and emotions with no release, they build up inside our body. Mostly as physical sensations or pain. Writing down these thoughts before we speak them outloud is a form of release. Allowing the thought or emotion to flow through you but not remain with you. Journaling helps eliminate the thought or emotion from creating your false character.
